Ordering & Delivery

We will be closing down over the Christmas and New Year Period from Saturday 20th December and returning January 12th.  Unfortunately orders are unable to be processed during these dates.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Generally, we have all items shown on the site in stock.  When we sell out of an item we take it off the website and put it back on when back in stock.  Therefore, as we turnover our stock regularly, what you see in the store today may not be in the store next week.  As we are closing for the xmas period, we are quite low on stock.  Early in the new year we will replenish our stock including some exciting new Easter designs hard to find in Australia!

Normally, once you have placed your order, you can expect despatch of your items within 48 hours of payment being received or processed.  You will receive an email to confirm your order (within 24 hours) and another email to let you know when and how your order has been sent.  Sometimes we are short if large multiple quantities are ordered for the same item.  There is usually only a few days delay if that is the case (except items from USA where indicated).  We endevour to keep you informed of any such delays. 

If you purchase melting buttons, we do not guarantee that they wont soften during delivery process.  Where possible, we use express post to avoid a journey by road, however, larger quantities are too expensive to send by express.   Even if the buttons do soften and then join together, it does not affect the high quality of the buttons.  Simply break up and melt as per instructions. 

If your order is urgent, please type "URGENT" in the spare comments field in checkout with an indication of when goods are required by.  We will do our best to oblige.

Freight:  Please note, we are not a large business like the major online retailers.  Therefore, we do not get volume discounts on freight.  What we charge you is our cost, a little extra for packing and handling and includes gst.  We do not profit on freight.  Unfortunately with petrol, postal and courier charges going up, higher freight costs is something we all have to get use to.

Our freight charges are based on destination and weight.  In checkout, you will be asked to select a region i.e. Melbourne and Sydney Metro, Vic & NSW Country, Brisbane & Perth Metro etc.   If you think our freight charge is excessive, please check with us as we may be able to come up with an alternative. 

For parcels under 500g (up to 4-5 moulds) or items that will fit in a 3kg satchel, we will despatch anywhere in Australia by Express Post.  This ensures you get your parcel quickly and should it go astray we can track it. 

For larger parcels in Australia we use registered mail with Australia Post which must be signed for (except if you provide instruction for parcel to be left).   If you have specific instructions for the Postie (i.e. leave by front door), please make a note in the comments field in checkout.   Please note, if you do give permission to leave parcel, you do so at your own risk.  Only give permission if you are confident your parcel will be safe.

For customers in Adelaide, you are welcome to pick up at a pre-arranged time from Happy Valley, otherwise we can send your order with Aust Post.

We are more than happy to ship to international destinations, however, communication by email sales@chocart.com.au will confirm the correct procedure for buying online and shipping costs.

With any purchase from us, you will receive general instructions and we also provide after sales support.
